Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BacktestX (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing the platform.

Use of Service

BacktestX grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the platform for lawful personal or commercial backtesting and strategy research purposes, subject to these terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for any illegal or unauthorised purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform
  • Scrape, extract, or commercially resell our historical market data
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the platform
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful software
  • Impersonate any person, entity, or the BacktestX team

Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorised use of your account. BacktestX is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised use of your account.

Subscriptions & Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis. All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR). By subscribing, you authorise BacktestX to charge your payment method for the applicable subscription fee.

  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • No refunds are issued for partial billing periods

Refund Policy

We offer refunds within 7 days of initial purchase if you are not satisfied with the service. After 7 days, no refunds are issued. To request a refund, contact support@backtestx.in with your order details.

⚠ Refunds will not be issued if the account has been used to download historical data beyond the free plan limits during the refund window.

Intellectual Property

All content on BacktestX including software, historical data, UI design, logos, and documentation are the exclusive property of BacktestX and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our explicit written permission.

Disclaimer

BacktestX is a simulation and research tool. We do not provide financial advice, investment advice, or trading recommendations. Past performance in backtesting does not guarantee future results in live markets.

⚠ Trading financial instruments involves substantial risk of loss. Use BacktestX for educational and research purposes only. We are not responsible for any trading losses incurred.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BacktestX shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use or inability to use the platform. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to BacktestX in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

BacktestX reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms, fraudulent activity, or any conduct harmful to other users or the platform. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
