The Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully. They govern your use of the BacktestX platform and define our mutual responsibilities to ensure a fair trading environment.

01. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using BacktestX (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing the platform. The materials contained in this website are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.
02. Use of Service
BacktestX grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the platform for lawful personal or commercial backtesting and strategy research purposes, subject to these terms. You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any illegal or unauthorised purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform
- Scrape, extract, or commercially resell our proprietary historical market data
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the platform or software
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful software
- Impersonate any person, entity, or the BacktestX team
03. Account Responsibilities
To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account. BacktestX cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with the above.
04. Subscriptions & Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or yearly basis as per your selected plan. All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR). By subscribing, you authorize BacktestX to charge your payment method for the subscription fee.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Users may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel plans at any time via the dashboard.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- All fees are exclusive of taxes, which are your responsibility.
- No refunds are issued for partial billing periods.
05. Refund Policy
We offer refunds within 7 days of initial purchase if you are not satisfied with the service. After 7 days, no refunds are issued. To request a refund, contact support@backtestx.in with your order details.
Due to the digital nature of the backtesting data and computing resources consumed instantly upon query, BacktestX does not offer refunds once a user's plan period has commenced or a credit pack has been partially used. Refunds will not be issued if the account has been used to download historical data beyond the free plan limits during the refund window.
06. Intellectual Property
All content on BacktestX including software, historical data, UI design, logos, and documentation are the exclusive property of BacktestX and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our explicit written permission. Strategies generated by the user using our tools remain the intellectual property of the user, provided they do not infringe upon our proprietary code.
07. Disclaimer
BacktestX is a simulation and research tool. We do not provide financial advice, investment advice, or trading recommendations. Past performance in backtesting does not guarantee future results in live markets.
Trading financial instruments involves substantial risk of loss. Use BacktestX for educational and research purposes only. We are not responsible for any trading losses incurred. Use of the service is at your own risk.
08. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BacktestX, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from your use or inability to use the platform. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to BacktestX in the 12 months preceding the claim.
09. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
