Trend Lines & Channels

Guide to drawing trendlines, rays, arrows, parallel channels, and horizontal/vertical support lines.

Trend Line

Description: Connects any two coordinates on the chart using a straight vector.

Practical Uses

Tracking support and resistance boundaries or breakout thresholds.

How to Draw / Use

Click point 1, drag and click point 2 to lock the diagonal trend line.

Arrow

Description: Draws a trendline that terminates in a visual arrow head.

Practical Uses

Highlighting market directions or pointing to critical pivot breaks.

How to Draw / Use

Click starting point, move cursor to target bar/price, and click to set the arrow direction.

Ray

Description: Starts at the first coordinate and projects infinitely through the second point.

Practical Uses

Formulating long-term projection lines or trend extensions.

How to Draw / Use

Click origin point, drag through point 2, and click to project the ray.

Info Line

Description: A custom trendline displaying percentage change, bar distance, and exact angle coordinates.

Practical Uses

Quick statistical verification of wave size and slope angles.

How to Draw / Use

Click first point, drag to second point, and click. Read stats in the floating badge.

Horizontal Line

Description: Projects an infinite horizontal line at the selected price coordinate.

Practical Uses

Delineating static horizontal supports, resistances, or psychological levels.

How to Draw / Use

Click anywhere on the chart canvas to place the infinite horizontal price level.

Horizontal Ray

Description: Projects a horizontal line extending infinitely to the right starting from a specific timestamp index.

Practical Uses

Drawing current support/resistance levels without cluttering historical charts.

How to Draw / Use

Click at the starting index and price coordinate to project the horizontal ray.

Vertical Line

Description: Projects an infinite vertical line at the selected time/index slot.

Practical Uses

Highlighting key news releases, session splits, or cyclical dates.

How to Draw / Use

Click at the target timestamp index coordinate to lock the vertical separator.

Cross Line

Description: Draws perpendicular infinite horizontal and vertical lines intersecting at a coordinate point.

Practical Uses

Marking exact price-time coordinates for future reference.

How to Draw / Use

Click on any chart intersection point to draw the crossline.

Parallel Channel

Description: Plots a parallel trend channel bounding upper and lower price extremities.

Practical Uses

Mapping ascending, descending, or sideways trading channels.

How to Draw / Use

Click point 1 and 2 to set the channel baseline angle, then drag and click point 3 to set parallel width.

Disjoint Channel

Description: A channel tool that allows baseline and top line angles to be adjusted independently.

Practical Uses

Drawing wedges, flags, or non-parallel trend channels.

How to Draw / Use

Set the baseline with points 1 and 2, then drag and set the upper line offset and angle with point 3.

Flat Top/Bottom

Description: Draws a channel with a flat horizontal edge and a parallel diagonal edge.

Practical Uses

Mapping ascending/descending triangles and flat support/resistance breakouts.

How to Draw / Use

Define the diagonal line with points 1 and 2, then set the horizontal flat line with point 3.

Regression Trend

Description: Automatically calculates a linear regression trend line over a selected bar range.

Practical Uses

Tracking statistical fair value and standard deviation channels.

How to Draw / Use

Click start bar, drag to end bar, and click. The line calculates and renders automatically.

Trend Angle

Description: Draws a trendline showing its exact trigonometric angle relative to the horizontal scale.

Practical Uses

Measuring trend velocity and rate of price acceleration.

How to Draw / Use

Click start coordinate, drag to end coordinate, and click. The angle updates in real-time.
