Timezones & Clock Settings
Guide to handling coordinate timestamps, adjusting timezone views, and handling DST changes.
UNIX Timestamp Mappings
Description: All charting data candles ingest and parse 13-digit millisecond UNIX epoch timestamps (UTC) as key indices.
Standardizing time coordinate indices across various server locations.
Passed automatically inside candle object feeds: { time: 1672531199000, ... }.
Display Timezone Offset
Description: Allows configuring the display offset value (e.g. UTC, America/New_York, Asia/Kolkata, local) used to render the X-axis labels.
Converting candle timestamps from UTC to the user's localized time zone.
Click the Timezone label in the bottom scale bar or adjust options via settings: widget.setTimezone('Asia/Kolkata').
Daylight Saving Adjustments
Description: Leverages the browser's native Intl.DateTimeFormat API to automatically adjust time labels during DST transitions.
Ensuring price candles align correctly during seasonal clock changes.
Adjusts label projections automatically. No developer intervention required.
